Visors down and leathers on, the show season countdown has begun! We are revving our engines ready to thrill your senses with the sights, sounds and smells of Race, Rock ‘’n’ Ride 2017 – Santa Pod Raceway’s jam-packed, adrenaline-fueled motorbike festival! Join us this May 20-21 for what promises to be one hell of a ride full of exhilarating spectacles and experiences both on and off the track. Whether you’re a seasoned motorcycle expert or two-wheeled newbie, we have your weekend covered with an exciting mix of racing, show bikes, live music and entertainment.
Debuting last year with great success, Race, Rock ’n’ Ride 2017 is all about the need for speed! For the first time, the weekend-long festival of motorcycling will host an official round of the ACU National Drag Bike Championships. The quarter-mile takes centre-stage as a varied and vibrant array of two-wheeled machines hit the track clocking up some insane speeds at unbelievable times. With invincible aerodynamics and power-to-weight ratios, motorbikes are well and truly at home on a drag strip. Topping the bill will be the Funny Bike class, featuring monsters capable of completing the run in an astonishing six seconds! For road riders, the biggest draw might well be the Super Street Bike class with relatable machines that have been known to clock speeds of more than 200mph. We can’t wait to see what stats this year has in store!
New for 2017… Ever wanted to give riding a motorcycle or scooter a try but didn’t know where to start? Race, Rock ’n’ Ride gives you the opportunity.
Get On! is the industry’s free ‘try out’ programme where riders are offered a 30-minute session with a professional instructor. Make sure you grab your chance this May!
Race, Rock ’n’ Ride’s Scooter Showcase! Whether your partial to a classic geared or modern auto, Race, Rock ’n’ Ride has all you scooter fanatics well catered for! Make sure to catch all the scooter action and support your favorite scooter rider. You can even visit the scooter pits, to see all the machines close-up and maybe get a chance to chat to the owners about their individual mounts. And there should be plenty of variety – anything from stunning-looking street racers through to cut downs (or even stretched) scooters.
